Boorowa & District Historical Society Inc

The aims of the Boorowa and District Historical Society (founded 1974) are: to promote the study of local history in the Booowa local government area; to preserve items of local historical significance consistent with the acquiistion policy and accepted 'museum good practice'; to operate the Boorowa Museum; to mount displays of local and special interest; and to encourage research into and the recording of local history. The Booowa Museum is a community museum which documents, preserves and interprets local family history, local occupations, significant collections relating to lifestyle, textiles and costumes, the local wool industry and the changing times relating to the Boorowa local government area.
